Effective September 12, 2002
Your privacy is important to us. To better protect your privacy we provide this notice explaining our online information practices and
the choices you can make about the way your information is collected and used.
Our software and your privacy
Our software products, PopUpCop by EdenSoft and EdenSoft My Logo, both reside inside of Internet Explorer.
In general, our software does not collect, store, or transmit information about the Web sites that you visit
to us or anyone else.
However, by default, PopUpCop does store (in a file on your local hard drive) a log of the Web addresses of last 50 popups that it has blocked,
along with the address of the Web pages that requested the popups. This information is not transmitted anywhere.
If you do not wish PopUpCop to store this information, you can change the size of the log file to
zero (0) on the Miscellaneous page of the PopUpCop options dialog, and PopUpCop will no longer write
any of this information to disk.
When you install our programs, each of the installation programs opens a new browser window which
navigates to a thank you page on our site. The program sends version and download source as a part
of the Web page request. We use this in information in aggregate to determine where
our customers hear about us. We do not use this information to track individuals.
When you register PopUpCop, the program causes Internet Explorer to open a new browser window
which thanks you for registering. In addition to the version and download source information,
PopUpCop sends the owner name that you used for registration, and the corresponding registration
code.
All other communication with our Web sites is performed because you requested the communication.
For example, "Check for update" navigates to a page on our Web site, and sends version and download
source as part of the Web page request, so that we can determine if a newer version
of the program available.
Finally, we pledge to never send any information to any location on the Internet in the background
(behind your back), without first asking your permission. At this time neither of our products perform any
such background communication, but if the programs ever include any feature that uses background communication,
we will ask your permission before we perform the action.
Our registration partners
At this time, EdenSoft relies on third parties to perform the registration financial transactions.
We use two different providers, RegNow and RegSoft.

Information that we receive from our registration partners
At this time, EdenSoft relies on third parties to perform the registration financial transactions. When you have completed
a transaction with one of these third parties, the partner notifies EdenSoft about the successful transaction. The information that
is contained in that notification can include:
Name
Company
Email address
Postal address
Phone number
EdenSoft never receives and therefore does not store your credit card number.
Our Commitment To Children's Privacy
Protecting the privacy of the very young is especially important. For that reason, we never collect or maintain information at our
Web sites from those we actually know are under 13, and no part of our Web sites is structured to attract anyone under 13.
IP address
Every computer connected to the Internet is given a set of numbers,
that serve as that computer's "Internet Protocol" IP address. When a visitor requests a
page from our Web site(s), our Web servers automatically
recognize that visitor's IP address. The IP address reveals nothing
personal about you other than the IP address from which you have accessed our site. We use this
information to examine our traffic in aggregate, but do not collect and evaluate this information
for individuals. Our Web servers do not record e-mail addresses of the visitors.
Cookies
Our PopUpCop.com domain sets and accesses cookies. We use cookies to help us track the effectiveness
of our marketing campaigns. This information is used in aggregate, and is not identified with any
individual or specific IP addresses.
Email update notices
We occasionally send update notices to our registered users. These update notices are intended to tell
our customers about that latest version of PopUpCop. If you do not wish to receive any of these notices, just let us know,
and we will not send you any more update notices.
Policy changes
This policy will change from time to time. Updates to the policy will be posted here.
